The Lee County Hyacinth Control District (LCHCD) is a local government agency for management of nuisance aquatic vegetation in waterways of Lee County, including the Caloosahatchee River and it’s tributaries as far upstream as Lake Okeechobee.

Meeting Calendar: The members of the Board of Commissioners for the Lee County Mosquito Control District serve as the Board for the Lee County Hyacinth Control District. Lee County Hyacinth Control District Board meetings are held in conjunction with the Lee County Mosquito Control District Board meetings at the same time and place as the Lee County Mosquito Control District Meetings. LCHCD Annual Report and Budget – LCHCD 2015 Annual Report
Lee County Hyacinth Control District held an advertised public hearing to adopt a final millage rate and a final budget on September 17, 2015 at District headquarters, 15191 Homestead Road, Lehigh Acres, Florida 33971 in accordance with the provisions of Florida Statute, Chapter 200.065.
Florida Statute, Chapter 200.065(2) (a) 4c requires the governing body of each taxing authority to hold a public hearing on the final budget and proposed millage rate.
The rolled back rate for Lee County Hyacinth Control District is 0.0263 mills. The millage rate to be levied is .0263 mills. The percentage increase over the rolled back rate is 0.00%. A resolution for adoption of a final millage rate of 0.0263 mills for fiscal year 2015-2016, commencing on October 1, 2015 and ending on September 30, 2016 was approved by the Lee County Hyacinth Control District Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners adopted the final Budget for the 2015-2016 fiscal year in the amount of $4,556,600 commencing on October 1, 2015 and ending on September 30, 2016.
The LCHCD Board of Commissioners approved a millage rate of 0.0263 mills, which is the rollback rate. This is $.0263 per $1000 of value. A homeowner would pay $2.63 for a home valued at $100,000 by the property appraiser.
