The Lee County Hyacinth Control District (LCHCD) is a local government agency for management of nuisance aquatic vegetation in waterways of Lee County, including the Caloosahatchee River and it’s tributaries as far upstream as Lake Okeechobee.

Lee County Hyacinth Control District held an advertised public hearing to adopt a final millage rate and a final budget on September 24, 2020 at District headquarters, 15191 Homestead Road, Lehigh Acres, Florida 33971 in accordance with the provisions of Florida Statute, Chapter 200.065.

Florida Statute, Chapter 200.065(2) (a) 4c requires the governing body of each taxing authority to hold a public hearing on the final budget and proposed millage rate.

The Lee County Hyacinth Control District adopted millage rate is to be levied at .0221 mills. A resolution for adoption of a final millage rate of .0221 mills for fiscal year 2020-2021, commencing on October 1, 2020 and ending on September 30, 2021 was approved by the Lee County Hyacinth Control District Board of Commissioners.  The Board of Commissioners adopted the final Budget for the 2020-2021 fiscal year in the amount of $3,364,256 commencing on October 1, 2020 and ending on September 30, 2021.

The LCHCD Board of Commissioners approved a millage rate of 0.0221 mills. This is $.0221 per $1000 of value. A homeowner would pay $2.21 for a home valued at $100,000 by the property appraiser. For the adopted budget, click on LCHCD 2021 Budget
