Lee County Hyacinth Control District held an advertised public hearing to adopt a final millage rate and a final budget on September 19, 2024 at District headquarters, 15191 Homestead Road, Lehigh Acres, Florida 33971 in accordance with the provisions of Florida Statute, Chapter 200.065.
Florida Statute, Chapter 200.065(2) (a) 4c requires the governing body of each taxing authority to hold a public hearing on the final budget and proposed millage rate.
The Lee County Hyacinth Control District adopted millage rate is to be levied at .0200 mills. A resolution for adoption of a final millage rate of .0200 mills for fiscal year 2024-2025, commencing on October 1, 2024 and ending on September 30, 2025 was approved by the Lee County Hyacinth Control District Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners adopted the final Budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year in the amount of $3,927,341 commencing on October 1, 2024 and ending on September 30, 2025.
The LCHCD Board of Commissioners approved a millage rate of .0200 mills. This is $.0200 per $1000 of value. A homeowner would pay $2.00 for a home valued at $100,000 by the property appraiser. For the adopted budget, click on LCHCD 2025 Budget
