Pond inspection information is displayed by site # and name with the following data parameters as recorded:
1) Temp. = Temperature readings are measured in degrees Celsius and recorded in the below reports.
2) D.O. = Dissolved oxygen concentrations in parts per million, a typical healthy waterbody should have a reading above 3.3 ppm.
3) Turb. = Turbidity samples are collected and read with an NTU (Nephelometric turbidity units) meter, whereby the water transparency is measured on a scale from 1-100. The lower the numerical value will equate to a better resolution, which is indicated from each sample taken. Higher values usually correlate to; abundance of microscopic algae, suspended organics, and/or decline in aquatic plant density.
4) % Cov. = Plant percent coverage throughout a waterbody. This is a visual estimation on vegetation coverage yielded from the results of a field inspection.
5) Weed I.D. = Plant identification by Genus and/or species. Also, data may be recorded utilizing common aquatic plant names. (ns = no plants seen)
